Officially, Pluto is no longer a planet. Scientists have deemed it a "dwarf planet", which by definition is any object that "has not cleared the neighborhood around its orbit, and is not a satellite." A new definition of a "planet" has finally been approved, and this took Pluto out of the full fledged planet listing.
